TERENA – a Forum for Collaboration

Poster by: Licia Florio, TERENA.

The Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association, TERENA, is the association in which Europe’s research networking organisations, research institutes, equipment vendors and telecommunications operators can meet, exchange information and experience, and collaborate on a range of activities. TERENA actively collaborates with organisations in Europe and beyond, including counterparts in other continents, such as APAN in Asia-Pacific.

TERENA organises workshops, meetings and an annual networking conference (TNC) and runs a number of task forces on technical and non-technical matters. In addition, TERENA offers certain services to the research and education community, including SCS (Server Certificate Service).

This poster describes some of TERENA’s key activities, with particular focus on those funded by the European Union through projects such as GN2. A map of TERENA’s national member organisations in 36 countries in and around Europe will be included.
