AbstractThis BoF will provide a continuation of the discussion from the identity management workshop held 18-19 August in Brisbane and organised by the Middleware Action Plan and Strategy Project and the CAUDIT Technical Standards Committee. The outcome from the August workshop is a whitepaper providing identity management advice to CIOs and enterprise architects in Australian and New Zealand higher education and research institutions. Contents include an enterprise identity management roadmap, elements of a business case to support identity management projects, and information on interfacing the identity management system with the Australian Access Federation. All are welcome, even if you did not have the opportunity to attend the workshop in August.About the speakerPatricia McMillan works for the University of Queensland as Project Manager for the Middleware Action Plan and Strategy (MAPS) project. She also chairs the auEduPerson Working Group for the Australian Access Federation (AAF) and is an Australian liaison to the European Committee on Academic Middleware (ECAM). She has more than 10 years experience in IT in higher education in Australia in technical and business roles at The University of Queensland, The University of Sydney, and Macquarie University. Prior to coming to Australia, Patricia worked for Carnegie Mellon University and the Software Engineering Institute in Pittsburgh (USA). Patricia holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Management, a Master of Science in Library Science, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Mathematics. |
